One of the worst things in life,
Is knowing that you and a loved one could part.
That one of your closest friends,
Could one day not want you.

What pains some of us most,
Is the impending doom of departure.
The sorrow that comes with separation.
The heartbreak of leaving.

One of the worst things ever,
Is that you know you'll grow and change.
That you won't have time to think,
to ponder,
to plan,
to desire.

A saddening thought is that,
Friends may come and go,
Family may die and leave,
Money can fail,
And we might let our dreams leave us.
We could let our hopes and desires desert us.
We may one day deny ourselves the things that make life, liveable.
